When I turn the knob to hot, the fan blows for a few seconds and then shuts off. Same happens with window defrost... It stays off until I turn it to cold again.

Is that because there is a thermometer that senses it's still summer and I don't actually need heat? Doesn't seem right. If I want the heat to be on, it should stay on, no?
