It's nice to have a well-paying job.
I dropped my Porsche off this morning at a place in Lawndale called Dutch Treat Porsche- it is closer than Callas and I hear great things- two two other guys in my office with Porsches both have had great work done there.
The owner was a super nice guy, I left the car and he called me back in a few hours with a report in on what he had found- everything was good so far, changed the oil as I had asked and inspected everything- found a few missing screws on the bottom plastics that could have been causing some rattling, and the brake fluid was nasty & had a ridiculously high water content - so I told him to completely flush the system. He said he would take it for a drive tomorrow and listen for the rattling I mentioned but said the car was in perfect mechanical condition from what he could tell.
Which is good news, I guess.
I'm starting to see how awesome it is to have the money to drop my car off and just have a guy go through it. Sure, it's expensive, but the car deserves it; the guy knows more about these new Porsches than I do.
Now, if it was 944's we were talking... that's another story. There was a nice 944NA there in one bay. Along with a silver Boxster S similar to mine, a few 356's, a slantnose 930... lots of goodies.
