Was wandering why you had not answered that one  
Despite having 2 jugs of Sweepco, I'll will try the Kendall before doing anything else to the car (new clutch cable and all the bushings) and post the result (within the next month unless the filling nut is not cooperating).
P.S. Just like you not being an Oilologist, I'm not a Proctologist but have been called a Trou de cul a few time
