Share a pic of the interior if you have a chance.. by '80s sports seats are we talking "recaros" or 911 sport seats?

While I prefer chrome on longhoods, I think if you took the effort to "black out" the front trim grills, and even do headlight surrounds in black, you can effectively "tie the car together" which would help imho.

x2 on ditching the 14's. And while correct deep 6's can be prohibitive ($2k???) perhaps a set of 15" minilitesas a "period correct" update would help. I nearly bought some "new" ones for my 914 last year.. about $200-250 each iirc.

Also consider getting the ride height reset.. lower!

'73.5T motor is a fine motor imho, but in a "hot rod" application, 140hp won't be deemed enough by many. Most would want about 200 (whether from a modded 2.7 or a 3.0 or 3.2 transplant.. but with that much power becomes a need to upgrade brakes, suspension etc. So , on the otherhand, your 2.4 is likely nicely balanced with the older set up)
