I am not sure if my rear seat belt conversion (upgrade to shoulder belts) will have the belts coming out the front of the rear shelf, or out of the top, which means either using belt guides or the periscope piece.
It's a 1987 coupe, can you tell from these pics if I have a high or a low rear shelf? This photo is with the vinyl cover and speakers removed, showing just the sound pad with the areas removed on each side where the belts will be attached. The belts I plan to order from
www.peparts.com are either the KT120-3-RET-Early or KT120-3-RET-LATE. It looks like if I can have the belts coming out the top of the rear shelf, and use the periscope cover-ups as guides, I would use the "EARLY" model. And if I have the high shelf, which mandates using guides on the front of the rear shelf, I'd use the "LATE" model. What's confusing is that my rear seat backs come up to nearly the top of the rear shelf, making me think I'd have to have the belts come out the top and use the EARLY model.
Thanks!
