I used to have a guards red '88...in fact, if you search this BB, you will find the sales thread. It did sell to a nice guy in NJ...for $26k (and if you are on this board, can I buy it back?). Anyway, so after a bunch of moves and several other cars, I have come to realize that once you have been a Porsche owner, nothing else will really do. It ain't just marketing...it's an infection.

I posted a question seeking advice in the 996/997 forum as I am looking for a 996TT. Why? My lovely wife had a hard time with the '88's floor articulating pedals so this is the compromise between a 930 and something she can drive. It's a love thing.

Any response? Not yet. So, with the chance of being flamed to death, I ask here:

Looking for sage buying advice for a 996TT. Besides the obvious records, PPI, etc...what other issues do I need to be aware of in advance?
