Here's a perfect example of the "Porsches are not commodities" axiom.
From a logical standpoint, it looks like a Turbo but has less power and lacks the provenance of a genuine Turbo, so it should sell at, say, 75% of the price of a '77 Turbo.
From an emotional standpoint, this may be the very car someone has lusted for -- forever -- and the perfect color. And that buyer may be "afraid" of Turbo engines (it happens). So in that case, I could see it selling for as much as a '77 Turbo.
The latter scenario requires that 'one in a million' buyer.
My gut tells me this car should sell for no less than $16K and up to $22. But the market has surprised me lately -- on the high side.
Caveat: this assumes the car drives tight and quiet and performs as expected.
