I,m 60 & had a hernia operation in Jan. Was in hospital overnight & back at work in 3 weeks. I work in the machine shop at our plant & still got help picking up & moving heavy & awkward stuff for a while.

Most of the surgeons nowadays do a little slices & pull mesh through to reinforce your muscles. If you don't have a streneous job, you'll be back to work in a week. But if you didn't have a strenous job you probably wouldn't have a hernia problem.
