The 997S is a great car. Too great after awhile. I bought it new for cash (good deal) on the barrel, so I'll pull fair bit of money out of it (granted I lost the depreciation).
I just like new cars for my DD, and since I'm a car guy, I want try stuff out. I've also shifted my philosophy about "ownership". I'd rather rent big ticket disposable/depreciating things.
Thought the 997S was a keeper. Some variant of it may yet be. I'll have to console myself with the other Porsche in the garage I guess.
