The carpenter guy had had a very interesting surgery. A saw had taken off his index finger and thumb. The finger was gone, but they had replaced his thumb with his big toe. I didn't even notice the switch until it came up in conversation. I was especially careful around the table saw - don't know if it was The One but the vibes were ominous.
