Thanks for all the input. Waiting to hear back from the gentleman in the Netherlands about spares from one being parted out....agreed that the engine NEEDS to be taken completely down and closely inspected (start at the crank and work out). I'm not viewing this as a "quick fix" (...hey, just missing a few bits, how hard can it be??). As for the salvage title issue, resale isn't an issue for me, as this would be a bike to keep for posterity sake.
