Hi,
I just bought a small portable generator (5500 watt) that is powered by a 10ishHP engine. I bought it used, but it looks brand new and was hardly used. It starts and runs great, but only on "choke." As soon as I take the choke off, It sputters and stalls, even well after it warms up.
I took the carb off and cleaned it thoughoughly, although it wasn't dirty at all...it was actually spotless.
So, why will it only run on choke? SHould I not worry about it, and just run it this way, or is there another issue at hand?
