I can sympathize with you Mike. It's been almost 30 years, but I still am pissed at my parents for tossing out an old mattress when I was in summer camp. I don't sleep well and it may have been a touch worn out, but it had life left and I slept really well in it. They never bothered to ask me about it, tossed it and replaced it without having me try new ones out. I hated the new mattress.
