It obviously wasn't the appearance or fuction, a CZ would not do as far as they were concerned. Was it just the fact that it was extremely expensive? Could they really be that shallow?
Eventually as I got older i came to realize what it was all about.
Women who crave diamonds are inherently insecure with low self-esteem and need to wear a stupidly expensive worthless ornament because their ego is so fragile. Their vanity drives their actions and rational logic has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Wearing something that made no sense at all and was extremely expensive somehow made them feel more important.

I found it sadly humorous when they judged each other by the size or cost of the diamond they were wearing.

It seemed ridiculous to me but I eventually learned to accept it and just one of those things.
What of guy in the new 997TT or Corvette Sam? Plenty of bling factor there, and next year he'll have a Ferrari or Maserati. You are correct, watches are man jewelry.

But- its entirely possible to enjoy, say, a 1952 Seamaster or a 1958 IWC Cal 88 as much as a bling new Rolex.
