the checks are already done by Bldg. inspectors - I know of no additional checks.

and... the Lead regs. only apply if 6 ft. of area is disturbed; nor are the methods involved particularly onerous - I already do most of it when I replace windows, trim, etc. in my house, and I am a DIYer, bu no means a pro.

Lead is a severe toxin, esp. for children even at sub-lethal levels so there is a clear economic health benefit from these regs.
