Yes! He deserves it! At least he knows what a "Pelican" is.
I walked up to a guy a the Chevron the other day. I exclaimed "993 C2. Nice" Asked how long he had it: 2 years. Was this his first Porsche: no, he had an 85 Carrera before. I told him I had an '87. I asked if he was a Pelican: "A what?" I chuckled and said "Guess not". I aked him who does his service as I looked at his licence plate holder. It was a local shop, well known and very good rep for Porsche, Lambo, Lotus. He was a little stand off-ish with his Blue Tooth device stickin' out his ear; I was dressed in my yard workin' grubbs. I asked how many miles he puts on a year. He told me it wasn't his only car, that he does'nt drive it every day; 2000 Kilomters. Considering my appearance, I had to point to the F150 at the other end of the station and say I had another vehicle as well (no to mention two). He had to go. I bid him farewell.
Not the warmest of encounters. Not a Pelican for certain. Your son knows what a Pelican is with apparent entusiasm. He sure deserves to be one.
