I thought i should add my name to this thread, after reading every page today i think it is only prudent to do so.
I can see many points made here, some technical ,some emotional. there will never be a solution that would make everyone happy.
I am sure that the V8 has served its purpose for ks911. he seems very happy with his conversion. i am happy for him, he has found what he wants in his car, other people are really happy restoring a porsche 911 to its former glory and have found what they want. others transplant larger or newer engines into their cars and get what they want. hell i still want a 911 even after reading these forums for a long time, but for now i will have to contend with my friends cars as well as my fathers 996.
