Typical Padres game - great pitching and defense but no offensive support. They went a long way on their $38M payroll especially when their starter Chris Young was out most of the season and accounted for $6M. Incredible after the Padres 10 game collapse at the end of the season and they were still in it the last game. Winning the first two games this weekend I thought the Padres had the momentum but it was not to be.
Congratulations to the Giants but IMO they will be first round casualties (Padres too had they made it) but I'm rooting for Tim Lincecum - really like that kid.
