Glad to know that I'm not the only one into these
I too still have knives from my childhood, Old Timer, Buck, Case, Swiss Army (actually have one of these in each car and has saved my butt in the past, the tools not the blade
) My current fave, is BENCHMADE, a buddy got me into those about 10 years ago..
Funny, as much as I have always like sharp things, I have never really carried one, other than while hunting, or crewing races, the only other time is when I'm smoking cigars, I carry this nifty "lil" guy.
Most of the time, other than the SA in my Kits & and Old Timer I have had since 6 years old (found it) that is in my tool box, the rest stay nicely oiled and in a box stored..
