The long trapezoidal arm at the left with water on both sides is where the pic is taken. The position or direction in the pic would be straight up. The SeaLaunch is based on the even skinnier pier at the top left pointing to the trapezoid pier.
The white dot at the left is where Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose was housed, next to the Queen Mary.
You become very small when at the port.
