Auctions and estate sales have been a passion of mine for several years. It's the thrill of the hunt. Some of my WWII finds of late:
500# bomb fuse, (sealed)
20mm cannon round (stamped 1941)
2 - 37mm rounds; M74 and M51A2 (stamped 1942 - 43)
A fragmentation grenade case
A box of 30 cal rounds and a M1 magazine ( no pic.)
I bought four Navy footlockers: all metal, hinged - they collapse, to save storage space when not being used. None of my Navy friends had ever seen one, but we are all Vietnam or later era, so ....anyone seen these before?
A sliding "pin" in each corner allows assembly/disassembly in 20 seconds. Ingenious.
This is a WWII Field Phonograph - crank to play. For traveling USO shows or events?
I sold this record player to a man that is going to open a WWII museum ...in China. And so it goes.....
