That doesn't mean it's registered to you. Which dealer did you use? I've bought from Braverman in Wilkinsburg and Pittsburgh Gun Club in MacDonald. They keep the form 4473 for 10 years and then destroy it. They don't hand it off to any gov't. authority unless the gun turns up in a crime and the manufacturer links it back to the point of sale. The FBI NICS check only verifies that you're eligible to own a gun, not that you actually bought one and certainly nothing linking the actual gun to your name. I'm almost positive you can buy and trade and gift guns to PA residents who meet the eligibility requirements. I sold a handgun on Backpage two weeks ago, met the guy in a parking lot, did a bill of sale and exchanged cell phone photos of each other's driver's license and CCW's just to cover our asses. Totally legal in AZ. YMMV. Last time I sold a gun in PA was to a Philly cop, so I didn't bother with anything beyond seeing his badge.
