Yep, pull the windshield trim, any rubber seals still remaining, the striker plates...basically anything that you can reasonably get off and still hope to get back on later.

If you will be having the sills and jams painted, also be sure to pull the carpet back.

Also make sure the shop masks off your Fuchs & tires carefully, or else put on some junk wheels & tires beforehand.

Basically, any paint you can avoid getting into undesired places now, is worth it later...overspray can be a real PITA to clean up when it gets onto vinyl/rubber/cloth in particular.

I hafta say, from these pics the current paint really doesn't look that bad!
