This is what you have insurance for. Random, unpredictable events.
If Farmer's is worth its salt, it's moving teams of claims adjusters to Phoenix to deal with this. Do you have comprehensive on the affected vehicles? If not, then it's not covered. If you do, it's perfectly legal to pocket the check for the truck. The point of insurance is to cover you for your loss, whether you choose to fix it is up to you.
As for your house, if you have insurance on it, it's covered.
