The wife was in Dallas at this diabetes education thing in her brand new truck. Sirens go off, tornado warning blinking on the TV. Sky turns black, she can see it coming, and does not have covered parking. She backed up on the sidewalk in front of her room at the hotel, took the comforter off the bed and stuck it over the front. Saved her from multiple pea sized dents suffered by the cars that were parked on either side of where she had been.
My friend John was not so lucky. All the glass, headlights, tail lights, dent that was a perfect holder for a baseball, numerous defects looking like they were made by a ball peen hammer. Can't remember how much it was, but it was not cheap.
