You could try weaker and (more importantly) more powerful ammo, and make sure the chamber itself is very clean. If you can borrow another magazine try that. Another thing; remove the barrel and try the plop test. A live round should nicely plop into the chamber. It should NOT hang up on the rifling and be able to be wiggled freely. Does It cycle everything when racking it by hand?
