Dreary, miserable, cold, raw, grey, day after day after day with NO (I mean NO letup. There was one period of 60 consecutive days (I counted) where I encountered some kind of rain (usually drizzle or near-freezing drizzle).

The summers are beautiful, but don't underestimate how downright depressing the place can get when you can't go outside and do anything meaningful for 6 months of the year.

The worst aspect however was not the rain, it was the jobs market. And this was in 2002-2003. It was simply awful. I can only imagine how bad it is right now.
Geez, and I thought Schenectady, NY was bad. It was usually grey from Nov-Jan each year. No thanks! I'll keep my summer heat.
