Porsche Crest Where does your left foot go in these things?

Ok, so now I've finally got my teener from the point of mice living inside the rusted Monza in the pole barn, through the topend rebuild, fixed that pathetic center tunnel problem ( clutch tube, accel cable, fuel lines) de-hillbillied the carb conversion, bought tires and I finally got it to the point where it's a reliable car to drive. You can't really drive 914's in the snow, regardless of what the "ski Porsche" ads in the 70's might depict, so I was thinking about waiting for a dry spell in the winter, when I can make a dash south on 35W for better weather and will thus be able to get some driving time in this winter, which brings up LONG TRIPS.
I've been trying it out for a couple of 50 mile or so highway drives, and I find the stock 73 2.0 basketweave seats bearable, but I'm really at a loss for what to do with my left foot. Pelican sells a "dead pedal" for 911's and I wondered if anyone had come up with a similar idea for the 914. Ideas?
