I was doing a hit & run dealer trip up the east coast of Florida yesterday & I finally outran the hurricane clouds as I came out of Melbourne onto 95 north. Top down in a Mustang rental. A very loud bike passed me. Helmeted & leathered with his biker babe in shorts & T & windblown hair. I kept pace with him as bait through traffic until Titusville cruising up to 80 mph. Even ¼ mile back I could hear him perfectly. After passing the third group of biker clusters heading north, I knew something was up.

Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach. I came in on 92 by the Daytona track & the road was a zoo. Motorcycles everywhere. Every shape & size including some cylinder thing that looked like a wheeled bobsled. Sorry no pics – no camera. It took 15 minutes to get to N Nova. My dealer (a new one) said they expect up to 100K bikers. It was a zoo. And certainly loud in a ragtop.

I knew about Bike week in the spring but I had never heard of Biketoberfest.
