Sad but true Bill - I haven't driven it since I posted those pics of driving out to the Awhitu peninsula a few weeks ago.
I just don't have time - I took Friday off work to finish reinstalling the (nobody laugh) upgraded drums on the BMW and spent a decent chunk of both Saturday and Sunday working on it too, just tidying up various things. I spent about 6 or 7 hours cleaning it (it hasn't had a
thorough clean in 10 years). I needed lacquer thinner to get some of the crap off the bumper...
And still plenty to do

. This week at the panel beaters for tidying up the (PO) damage to the front and a f'glass bonnet install. Alternator has packed up. Need longer handbrake cables. Reinstall oil cooler. Put stickers all over it. Freakin' door mirror let go its seal (mirror bit falls out). And make a helmet net (I'm not paying $50 for one of those)!
Basically, once the
Targa is over, I will park the BMW and forget about it till after Christmas. I'll spend the time making myself happy with the 911.
Then I'll move onto the '75. I had intended to have it ready for my wedding in July, but I suddenly realised that might not be doable. I've spent too much on the other two so not only do I have no time but no $$$.
So memo to PP BBSers. One project is enough. Two is silly. Three is crazy (basically I have two projects and the '75, which is just a garage ornament).
