My personal feeling is that whoever removed the VIN might have thought the production Nr was related as in this case they are very similar. I donīt think they were aware of the Nr under the dash. Why were they so meticulous to forge German handwriting and yet do a Butcher Job on the VIN next to the smugglers box?
