Trailering a Boxster

I recently acquired a 2003 Boxster S and I am wondering how to tie it down to my flat bed trailer? I looked on the PCA technical forums and they recommended strapping to the wheels. I don't like this idea as it would probably mess up the alignment and chaff the wheels. I saw that Performance Products has a product to add tie down plates to the bottom of the car (http://www.**********.com/tie-down-and-jack-plate-kit-996-997-boxster-cayman-for-porsche.html). However, in their catalog they show a photo of a plain non-clipping style tow hook attached (like these SmartStraps Padded Deluxe Ratchet J-Hook Tie-Downs — 14ft. x 1 1/2in., 2 Pack, 5000-Lb. Capacity, Model# 159 | Ratchet Tie-Down Straps | Northern Tool + Equipment). It doesn't appear that my S-Line tie downs would fit (S-Line Ratchet Tie Down Strap — 10,000lbs., 2in. x 8ft. | Ratchet Tie-Down Straps | Northern Tool + Equipment).

Has anyone had experience with the Performance Products kit or know of another alternative?
