I don't know, the emergence of Red Bull this season has more to do with it, which has more to do with budget/experience than what the rules are at any given moment. Otherwise it would just be the same McLaren/Ferrari fight.
I also want to give props to Hamilton for racing a smart race. He correctly judged this as a race of attrition and did his best to stay in it without doing anything risky or stupid.
I'm re-watching the race now (watched it live last night). I'm glad Speed edited out the hour delay.
