I just bought a 86 Carrera and the Fuchs wheels are all peeling and need refinishing. I heard from a fellow enthusiast that he used Brillo and steel wool and basically rubbed all the plastic off. I'm no newbie to elbow grease but would like to know if there is someone with a different approach? I would prefer not using anything that could scratch the chrome undercoat?
