I test rode the Griso last year at our local Guzzi dealer. I really liked the styling. I felt the bars were a little wide, but that could improve with familiarity.
The ride was pretty short, and I'm no motorcycle journalist, so the most I can say is that for an urban style roadster- the guzzi is at the top of my list, maybe only bested by the r12r.
I do believe that the dealer network is poor, and I listened to the owner of a BMW dealership in NC rant for 10 minutes about Piaggio's issues and why he dropped them. The only thing the local dealer here in St. Louis could tell me was that valve adjustments were easy (he obviously wasn't paying attention to my r11s).
Still- I think the griso is a sweet bike.
i just reread your post. For under 4K- yes. I'd buy that bike all day long.
