When I got my SC painted from brown to silver I couldn't find the silver I wanted. I could see it in my mind, but not on the color charts. I saw some at the car painters and said "THAT'S the silver" and he said it was just straight, out of the pot, PPG silver. I selected 980 grade for the twinkly bits. Too fine and the car looks flat and grey like a Merc', but the spray painters like it because it's easy to use. 980 is the second to most twinkly in their range so the car kinda glows at times. Also I got 15% flip control. this is how the silver chips lie in the paint. If you don't have flip control the color looks different from different angles.
The great thing about unmixed silver is it doesn't need to be mixed for repairs
Is this ok 930Chas?
