Sometimes things just don't work out as envisioned.
I finally got around to installing a set of Sparco AllRoad seats that I bought about 3 years ago. I procrastinated installing them - no idea what I was thinking buying a set of deep, fixed back buckets for my daily driver (impulse buy

).
Well, I can safely say, the seats are every bit as difficult to get in and out of as I had imagined when I first unpacked them (as my wife asked "what were you thinking?" - thanks for pointing out the not-so-obvious...).
I think my best option at this point is to weld the doors shut, and get in/out Dukes of Hazzard style

.
But wait, I'm not done. Here's an unanticipated upgrade consequence: I also bought a Momo Prototipo wheel and Rennline 1" spacer. The spacer positions the wheel a bit closer to the driver. While I must admit, the wheel is cool, and the spacer puts the wheel in a more comfortable position (with the unintended, but beneficial consequence of providing a bit more room to wedge myself between the wheel and my new Speed Racer seats), I never considered what moving the wheel 1" would do for reaching the turn signal stalk.
Yep, I'm looking for a set gloves that lengthen my fingers by about an inch.
Sometimes things just don't work out as envisioned.
Its all good... When I'm tucked in the seat, and not using my turn signals, I do feel like Speed Racer
