I find the Momo wheel and spacer well worth it.
Especially when this combo prevents me from accidentally hitting the wipers when Autocrossing!
On my 944 race car, (can I say "944" here?) I switched out the spacer with a quick-release hub. Both the 911 and 944 have a Momo Corse steering wheel.
