You already know enough. The guy is a buyer and lots of retailers have buyers scouring the country for cars. They will offer a very low price and fast cash. It's a numbers game where they get one in ten or twenty or even thirty.
Why would you sell your father's car that means so much to you this way?
You can get in touch with a local PCA chapter and see that the car goes to a member who will appreciate it. Beware, there are flippers everywhere, even in this down market.
Or present the car here to us with pics and some details. You will get a nice consensus of pricing and probably an offer or two.
