Victory Motorcars has a pretty bad reputation here on Pelican, but if you're selling the car, who cares - dollars are dollars.
As for wholesale buying, it's usually perfectly legit. It's an easy way to get out of a car, for under retail value, because dealers have to buy at wholesale prices and sell at retail to make a profit, same as any other business. I do the same thing. Basically, the lower price is justified by saving the seller the time and effort of selling a car to a retail customer. Sometimes selling is easy, but usually it's quite time consuming, and loaded with tire kickers. You will ALWAYS make more money selling privately. It will also almost always require more effort and time. Again, it's like anything else in life.
What are you trying to sell? I'm always looking for inventory for my dealership, and because we're in Canada where prices are higher, sometimes we can offer more than US dealers. It'll still be less than what you'll get if you get full retail asking price in a private sale, but it'll be somewhere in between that price and what a US dealer is likely offering you.
PM me if you want to discuss in private, or, if you want, post the details, pics and what Maxwell offered you, and I'll post what I'll pay for the car, and the rationale behind the offer. No BS on my end - if it's something I'm looking for, I'll name a price, and if you like it, it'll go to PPI.
