Bypass the dentist. The endodontist is the specialist in this matter. I know, I have had 4 root canals. I was fortunate to find one of the best.

My worst weekend ever was after an semi emergency appt. at the dentist for some pain. He told me root canal and sent me across the hall to make an appt. with the endodontist. I got an appt. for the following Monday and some medication. So, where was I headed that weekend? The freakin' mountains!!

I didn't give a thought to the higher elevation and what that would do to the pressure in the tooth. I spent 2 days sucking on a whiskey bottle. Even the hangover didn't hurt on Monday compared to the pain. I think puss squirted out of the tooth when he first drilled into it.
