Hi Folks
I recently rebuilt the top end of my '83 SC engine. I use the fancy RSR seals on the rocker shafts. With the car back on the road, and track, I ended up with oil smoke coming from the back but not the exhaust. The guys that followed me said it was coming from beneath the engine. I couldn't see any obvious leaks so decided to pull the engine, again. When I removed the rear tin on the driver's side there was definitely oil on the outside of the lower rocker shaft and I wondered if this place should be dry. I think so. And if there is high oil pressure then this might be a place where it squirts out, slides down the engine tin and then onto the hot heat exchangers. I've put some photos here at

and attached one of the lower rocker shaft. I would appreciate anyone's comments. Thank you in advance.
