If it was me, I'd be driving the '90 325is over the 911sc if it was a choice. But as has been mentioned, with some decent snow tires either one of them will be fine. The biggest danger any of us face is big lifted trucks that don't think they need to run winter rubber and are sliding all over the place. As long as you've got enough traction to get out of their way, you're generally ok.
