I'm working in Okemos during the week, so I took my son's Fender Precision Bass to Elderly Instruments in Lansing, MI (9 miles from my apartment/workplace) today to get it repaired. They are an authorized Fender repair shop with 10 luthiers/repair staff onboard, so I thought they would be the best place to have it repaired. While I was standing there, the tech straightened out the neck, cleaned and tightened up the pots and gave me the estimate to have the guitar refretted, setup with new strings. The whole thing for $165 and it will be ready in 2 weeks. I'm very impressed and happy with the service, so far. I'll let you guys know how it went when I pick up the bass in a few weeks.
