Thanks Dave - it turns out that the root of the problem is two fold.

1 - The PO found some rust in the floor pan and mounted the accelerator pedal in a slightly different location, and thius subjected the bellcrank into stress it was not designed for.

2 - The bellcrank is now bent and even after bending it back, it won't function correctly.

I can not find this item listed in your online catalog, so that stinks. I posted an ad in the 914 classifieds here - any other ideas? I need a new (or at least workable) bellcrank.
