Do you have a six-month or one-year lease which becomes month-to-month after that? If you have a
signed lease for six months or one year, the landlord can make NO CHANGES during that time. In plain language, he can take a hike. He must abide by the law.
When the lease converts to month-to-month (in March or April), then the landlord can give you 20 days' notice to move out.
