Absolutely true. Everybody should do as they like.
Mine had to be real. That's important to me but not for everyone.

Also... Using the "new" Fuchs on your Porsche ensures they'll also be straight.
I've lost count of the bent Fuches offered for sale locally that are advertised as like new or mint. (I check them on a small "Lazy Susan")
