I don't see anything wrong with having A/C on a 3.2 SS but your giving up some major weight savings by retaining it. You might want to consider the intended use of your car a little further. By nature the 3.2 SS is a hot rod especially with cams and PMOs. That in and of itself would have me pulling all the A/C stuff out. I'm guessing its worth 200+ pounds all together when you get rid of the blower and all the wiring in the smugglers box.

I live in the middle of Texas and it gets hot here and very humid. I don't use my car for daily transportation, only afternoon and weekend fun. If it was all I had and I had to drive it every day I would definitely look into A/C but I would probably re-think the engine build combination also.

Tough decision.
