Shaun, I am in utter and complete agreement with what you say. BTW, valuable and invaluable mean almost the same thing, with invaluable being a bit higher on the food chain. Only word I am aware of that you put the prefix "in" in front of and it does not reverse the meaning.
My wife, who is an intelligent woman, reads Star magazine religiously. I look at it occasionally, when I am discarding all the subscription cards it comes with when bringing it in from the mailbox. I don't even know who most of the people are.
