Maybe they train them to be that way?
Mine told be the tires on my Tundra were "pretty much trashed." The fronts have 50% tread or more, the rears about 80%. While I was there they quoted a woman with a Corolla over $500 to put tires on her car. I bit my tongue, and they talked her into it.
